Itchy nose

I have an itch at the side of my nose near my eye. The place it itches is sort of where if you stick your fingertip in the corner of your eye like to get crap out your eye, its just to the side of that on my nose. Its just a small area that is itching, It comes and goes and is really itchy and annoying. Ive never seen anything there, not even dry skin. I haven't used any new products on my face or to wash clothes or sprays or anything like that so I'm unsure its an allergy. It's been like it a couple of days now. Any idea what could be causing this?

No anne, none at all. When it happens there is absolutely no mark, spot, dry skin or discharge or anything, it just itches like a bugger.

I'll give them a ring RH if the insect repellent doesn't work :-)

I'm getting a bit worried now ummmm, what if I turn into a giant cockeroach? Or maybe they will eat me from inside out? :-((((((((((

They are just using you as a host until the babies hatch. The itching will clear up once hatched...

ummmm.... "just" omg its easy for you to say just when you don't maybe have cockroach central in your nose!!!!

You're worrying me now RH, I imagine that hurts like hell and I only have ibuprofen in the house :-((((((((

Might not someone have got up your nose in the last couple of days? Try a liberal inhalation of pepper and have the tissues standing by.

When we were kids my old mum gave us a 'wormcake' if she saw us scratching our noses. - I never really found out why.

It is most definitely not a cockroach, it will be the carrot beetle, lives in eyelashes and burrows under the skin especially in corners.

But I haven't been near any carrots :-( My eyelashes did feel a bit twitchy yesterday though thinking about it.
