The NHS needs drastic reforms but neither political persuasions are going to give it the transformation that it needs.
I do feel sorry for the Politicians, as both political persuasions know the answer, but they also know that the British public would never accept this after a 60 year period of the Welfare State.

Looking at it from a selfish point of view I hope I never have to suffer any of this but as I get older it becomes more likely.
Sqad, the British public accepted the closing of the hospitals for the mentally disadvantaged and so-called "care in the community" which seemed to consist of hoping you had a good neighbour who would look out for you. Most people are apathetic except when it concerns themselves - there are many around here who do not vote and then grumble when something they do not like happens. I have lots of patience but very occasionally lose it with people who expect others to help them without doing anything themselves. There - rant over.
