Hubby had a back op a week last wed, L3 decompression and neurolysis.he is sleeping on his back and is desperate to sleep on his side,he thinks he did once while he was asleep.can he now sleep on his side do you think?
It is a blessed relief to be able to assume a more natural sleeping position after you have had an op......
Providing he doesn't strain or pull his back in trying to turn he should be fine......I found that a pillow between my knees also took some of the pressure/pull, in the early days.
And DO remind him that when he gets out of bed 'spine in line'!!!
you always want what you haven't got - when i had a hip replacement and had to sleep on my back, i would have given anything to sleep on my side. When i was pregnant and had to sleep on my side, i would have loved to have slept on my back!
