I have to have three more weeks of radiotherapy, daily from Monday to Friday. I have been told that I need to buy myself some Factor 50 suntan/protector. It should not have any metals in it I have been told because of the radiotherapy I am receiving. Does anyone know please which brand I should buy?

Should I lose touch and you want to know how I am, I work at Histon Post Office just North of Cambridge. Had my last radiotherapy today. Now waiting for the post to see when my full body scan will be. You are all so kind, it is very touching. :-/
I'm glad you radiotherapy is finished and wish you all the best for your scan.
Hello Moyra. There are many nice people on AB - more than the other sort, thankfully ☺ I don't suppose you will have a long wait for your scan - time is such an important factor in treating cancers. My local hospital extended the opening hours of the unit dealing specifically with scans and virtually eradicated waiting lists. Keep in touch with us regularly - I am sure there will always be someone around to chat to. Take care x
Sorry to hear about your diagnosis. Also just read that lycopene has a protective element. This is found in cooked tomatoe so on with the tomato soup, spag bol and pizza. Has to be cooked though, weirdly uncooked tomatoes don't work as well. all the best for a speedy and complete recover.

Just googled and found this: should be a bit easier to find....I can't see zinc in there?

You are all so kind. I'm nearly crying here! Right, now off to a folk music night in a local pub to play my recorders at them! I play by ear! A friend's just offered me a lift. Aren't I lucky?! :-)
I do hope that you have a good outcome from all this. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Take care, please make yourself number one at the moment. xx
Enjoy your evening out Moyra - sounds just the ticket.
Play your recorders by ear? Now I, too, am crying - with laughter :o) See you on the next round of BGT!
not 50 but seriously good 40 - I am very fair skinned and their lower SPFs are brilliant as they work (as low as 15 on me) - no oily feel and they have lasted 5hrs plus in 35C and 90+% humidities....and with a "Deet" on me.
