I had a cortisone injection in my elbow yesterday morning(ouch by the way!), all day yesterday I was hot and my arm felt like it was being crushed in a vice. Today it is still achey and painful when I move it...is this normal? I am taking co-codomol for the pain but it's not doing much. The doc told me it should just "nip a bit" (yeah right!) for the day.
I feel for you Vodkancoke.
Very normal. I was in tears for 24 hours when I had my injection in the thumb joint. But, it worked a treat and was fine after that.
I had cortisone injections in my ribs a couple of years ago and they were incredibly painful, so much so that I actually cried out in pain (to the surprise of my oh who has never heard me do so in 17 years)!
Unfortunately they didn't work for me so it was all for nothing :(
Thanks daffy, My mum had 3 of them in her shoulder and they didnt work for her. I have heard that a lot, like anything it works for some and not for others....fingers crossed!
