So, this is what is wrong with my knee- it is tilted and has worn away the cartilege underneath, causing arthritis. I need an op but wondered if anyone else has any knowledge of the operation/recovery time etc? Many thanks

it is difficult to say exactly the length of recovery time and in an uncomplicated and minimal invasive case, then kathy is correct.
However, the knee joint may remain swollen and irritable for quite some time, and the leg may lose quite a bit of thigh muscle tone and strength, which may need physiotherapy.
All this will depend upon what is found and what is done at arthroscopy.
