They are similar but different, there is much reading online, but best discussed with your doctor.
This should give you the answers you need pusskin. Hope it helps.

Well, if you clicked on my link, you asked about the difference between Lymphoma and Non Hodgkins Lymphoma.

Why has the question changed?
errrrr, because she now wants to know the answer to a different question perhaps?

e.g Has the diagnosis changed?
Question Author
ah, now i get you. my previous post was about 2 different members of family having 2 different illness's. (Lymphoma --Non Hodgkins)
He is still in hospital and sometimes it gets referred to as Hodgkins disease and not Non Hodgkins disease. So I really thought that there may be a difference . Thats why i put my 2nd question on ab.
Right pusskin....now I've got it. Bad luck that two members of a family have two fairly uncommon diseases.

haha I've just had my 2nd glass of sherry while cooking dinner, so be patient with me sqad cos I feel so fed up and worried
Question Author
I'm feeling a bit sorry for myself and others right now, hence the sherry..
having 2 people very close to me having ilness's has hit hard.Plus a lovely sister who has had parkinsons for 15 yrs, and now can hardly communicate and stare at you when trying to talk to her, and not getting hardly any response is crippling.
thanks for listening as it may make me feel a bit better than i do right now x pusskins
puss, im sorry you are having such a bad time, i hope things improve soon... anne.
These things hang heavy on those who care as we tend to feel somewhat helpless, try to do your best but at all costs do not neglect yourself.
Remember me? I think you will! Just to let you know that I am now a fully fledged adopted Kiwi. Looking forward to a new life down under in three weeks time. Just as a matter of interest.....are you an American by any chance? Wishing you all the very best for your future. Long may you continue to give help to all those who need it.
FAO SQAD........sorry that the above missed out on its heading!
Pusskin - I'm sorry you have so much to cope with at the moment. I hope the treatment goes well. As mamya has said above , don't forget to look after yourself.

Looking through your past posts you mention that a someone close to you is having treatment for Mantle Cell Lymphoma. If this is the same person, then it is definitely a Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma, and there is a section on it in the link I have given you above.
Question Author
Hello All. Many thanks for replies to y/days post.
I feel a bit better today as i know there's nothing I can do, only to keep them in my thoughts. I do now remember mentioning "Mantle Cell Lymphoma"
One member of family has recently gone into remission, but the other one is very ill, constantly sleeping, not eating or hardly drinking, too ill for cell transplant thingy, so fingers crossed that chemo wil go ahead next week and he will slowly recover.. cant wait for him to get out of hospital now----
So, Non Hodgkins Lymphoma is correct then.
Thanks so much for replies x pusskins
