Best thing to do....

I split with a guy I'd been dating for a few months recently. All ended as well as it could really. There have been no crossed words exchanged & it's just one of those things I guess :o(
Went to see him last night to collect shoes I had left at his. He dragged me out getting the shoes for days. Eventually went to get them & even though just for a few minutes it was still nice, well as nice it could be. We hugged each other & I told him to take care of himself. Now, here's the question. I woke up this morning feeling like I wanted to send a text....a kind of 'I loved spending time with you & I'll miss but please be happy' text.
Good idea? Bad idea? Can't decide!

I don't think it'd be a good idea to text him, if you're going to move on then best sever the contact as early as possible, I've found that out the hard way! You've said your friendly goodbye's in person and that's the best way to leave it I reckon.
