What is the difference between acrylic nails, acrylic tips and gel nails?
I need new nails and really don't want them to look too false.

Acrylic nails look very false and are very damaging to your natural nails, it is acrylic powder used which sets hard to the nail almost straight away. Gel nails are very natural looking and are the latest type of nail extension. A tip is applied and then a clear gel over the nail, you place your hand under a UV light for a few minutes to set the gel. I am trained to do the gels and would recommend them to anyone looking to have nail extensions.
Also gel nails are much better for your natural nail underneath both do damage but the gel ones not so much, like Linzi said they also look alot more natural than acrylic, my friend has acrylics and they look real tacky.
