foot op

A friend had a op on her foot back in march all ok so far but at the end of the day her foot goes very dark like bruising anyone know if this is normal for a foot op or should she go back to doctors, she has a few pins and screws in her foot would that be a factor thanks for any replys x

If it is also swollen as well as "dark" then i would have thought that it quite likely to be impaired venous drainage and nothing to be worried about.I see no reason to return to her doctors.

Tk u for the quick reply, she said it does not swell now just goes very dark, and almost black around the scar x
