A partner 'checklist'?

What is your checklist - things you look for in a partner before you would consider them seriously? I am interested in what the differences are between men's and women's. For example, I asked my Dad this and he said that he thinks the thing that is most important to a woman is having a "reliable husband". Hahah!

My niece has always been strongly anti-smoking, absolutely hates it. Would never even consider going out with a smoker. Horrible, dirty habit etc. etc. etc. (you know the patter).

She marries one in September next year.

Male, quiet, intelligent, animal lover and preferably with stubble or a beard.

Actually though. I never would think of having a check list. If a person is right for me, they are right regardless. Definitely don't do sophisticated, suited and booted executive types, prefer a man who ain't afraid of getting his hands dirty and can shovel muck!!!

I love Ginge coming home in his work gear....work boots and hard helmet under his arm. All dusty...but smell really nice :-)

I don't have a list, but if I were to describe my ideal woman she would be physically:-25-45, 5'4-5'8, slim with very long dark hair, pale complexion. Intellectually she would be:-independent, creative, opinionated, intelligent, able to debate, left wing.
Personality wise she would be:- Kind, loving, have a high sex drive, love kids and animals, be brave and courageous, gentle and calm, like travelling, comfortable with people form all walks of life and different cultures, place priority in people above things, value money only in it's proper place and be driven to make the world a nicer place by her being there.
...and that pretty much describes my ex to a tee.
