Hi, for the past few days my chest has hurt to touch, it's all over and my collar bones [if this is possible] and neck ache. Because of recent stress [read previous threads lol] I sort of put it down to stress as my anxiety levels have been through the roof.
I spoke briefly to my doctor yesterday as I need to have a swab taken today as it looks like I may have an infection related to the colcoscopy, so will mention it again today.
Any ideas? Stress?

Sounds like some sort of inflammatory reaction - as you say possibly due to an underlying infection. Obviously you need to get the swab done, but co-codamol has worked for me with that sort of secondary ache/pain.

Thank you. That's the sort of thing I was thinking....where's the Sqadlet when you need him ;0)
Oh well at the doctors at 3 so hopefully he can sort it, really is quite painful.

Hi Lisa, it may be referred pain due to the stress you have been through. Good job you are seeing the GP later, good luck...let us know how you get on x

Hi, just to update, I spoke to my doctor yesterday and after listening to my chest he really does think this is all down to stress. He's been really good with me, taking time to listen to my fears and though he is loath to do so has said he will prescribe something for for anxiety if I really want it. I'm already taking a light sleeping tablet so I'm going to give it a while longer and he has said that as soon as I need him just to ring and he will see me straight away, which in itself is very reassuring.
I feel a bit better today, so if I can keep this up, all should soon be good :0)
