Sudocrem - on eyelids?

Can you put it on eyelids? They are still raw and so sore after reaction to hair dye and nothing else seems to be soothing them.

Think I may have to insist on doctor seeing me tomorrow. When I wake up in the mornings my eyes are swollen and shut still, thought that sort of eases over the morning. but when i wake up again next day they are swollen closed again.Any suggestions apart from Sudocrem?

I had a flare up on one of my eyelids, Smow, some sort of infection, it swelled up like a golf ball! Not a pretty sight!
And yes, I used Sudocrem on it, and it soothed it loads.
(I did try E45 on it, from the tube, but it made it worse)
So along with a course of antibiotics and Sudocrem, it eventually cleared up. It's good stuff.
I hope yours soon gets better

Aw poor you! I know how you feel, I was just the same.
The doctor told me not to put cream on the lid as 'it didn't need it', but I had to, it needed moisturising as it was sooo tight, plus the skin was flaking too, so I continued to apply the Sudocrem. It helped it heal.

A trip to our A and E and you would lose the will to live! Will try the Sudocrem and then if no better after a day i will insist the doc sees me.

A&E is where I ended up Erin, as it was so horrific,
The doctor there was who prescribed me the anti-bs.

So maybe a trip down to A&E might be for you too, Smow..?
Wear your sunglasses, like I did, lol.
They could at least advise you.. eyes are delicate things.. go on, nip down, see what they say..? x

The Sudocrem should help cool and sooth them.

Yeah it might sting at first as your lids are probably smarting still?
Just apply a thin layer first off, and if possible, apply more at night. (I used to wake up from my sleep and reapply, so it didn't dry up)

Cod used teabags can help with soothing the eyelids down before you put on any cream - hope you feel better soon - inflamed eyes are horrible to have.

try aloe vera after sun, we used it on our daughter when she go a midge bight on her eyelid, and anti hystemines help to

I have just had a terrible flare up of allergies, was asked how my eyes got badly burnt!. After 6 weeks of anti biotics I have had to use hydrocortisone on my eyelids 2 x day for 7 days and they have cleared up for the first time since January. Nothing else worked. Sounded shocked when Dr told me what to do but he said it was perfectly ok.

Sudocrem is ok for some things . .... But even the things it says it's good at, it's by far not the best product available. Never put sudocrem near your eyes, nose or mouth. Some sort of cooling pack and antihistamines may be a better option. Id err get off of here and go lie down with a wrapped up nag of peas on my face. some allergies to hair dye do turn out to be pretty extreme, a&e wasn't the worst suggestion here : s
