Is it normal that I, a fifteen year old female, have stretch marks on my thighs? I mean I know you get them when you grow/put on weight suddenly or suddenly lose weight but i havn't done either recently. My growth spurt was years ago, and i havn't fluctuated too much in the weight department (i hope). So why do i have them? This seems grossly unfair; not only will i have to battle them later on in life, but i have to contend with them now! Why?!

when i was younger many years ago, some of us girls got stretch marks on our thighs and we were told it was because we wore our jeans  too tightly......we did sort of pour ourselves into them haha.......i know the fashion now it all tight fitting trousers and jeans ....maybe if you wear these that could be the reason....even so i would,nt worry about it...they fade very quickly on young skin...just enjoy being fifteen  !!!!!

I'm 19 and I have them on my breasts, hips and thighs but they've all faded to faint marks, fairly unnoticable.  If you've heard about them a lot recently you might be more aware of them and *just* notice them even if they've been there a while.  They're a pinky colour now?  Then they'll fade to a shade slightly lighter then your skin colour I'd imagine.

Don't worry about it, no one has ever commented on mine and I'm willing to bet that they're far more noticable then yours are :)  It's really common, you'd be surprised how many people get them.  My friend is a size 10 and still has then on her hips from when she hit puberty and went from an 8 to a 10 so you don't have to put on much weight for it to make a difference.

I was exactly the same and so was my sister. In fact, my sister had them much worse than me and she is much slimmer. they will fade to virtually nothing. I know it's hard but they really will fade. If you want to you can moisturise the skin to make them fade faster but soon you won't even notice them.
I think it's to do with you skin much more than it is to do with your size or whether or not you wear tight clothes. one of the annoyances of being a woman. If it's any consolation, I have loads (tummy, breasts, thighs) and not one boyfriend has ever commented on them (or even noticed knowing men! ha ha) x
Stretch marks are caused by the layer under your skin expanding, so for instance if you are 15 then you might by getting more womanly hips i had hips at 15 but got stretch marks at 18 on my hips from my hips becoming more curved its all natural so i wouldn't worry. You can get rid of stretch marks if they are red, the products aren't cheap though and you have to apply them daily, decleor do one and also clarins do a cream and an oil, when they go white they are less noticable but they are there for life.
