Stevie Wonder

Back in 1999 it was all over the news that Stevie Wonder was going to try a new op -(I think it was microchips in the retina) to regain, albeit temporarily, his eyesight.  I remember reading that he would love to see his children, if only for a brief time.  Has anyone heard if he tried it, still intends to try it, or anything at all about it?

Isaw a prog a year or so ago about a woman who underwent this procedure. Quite disappointed with the results, I think she expected more. So far they can only process a small matrix, say 30x30 points of light on black.

Still, it's revolutionary!
