Are there any methods of contraception that stop your periods completely?

Aside from the pill and not taking a break every month? (which i do now)

Thanks xx

I am on a contraceptive pill that you just keep taking and don't have a break. It's called Cerezette xx
Sorry meant to add, I don't have a period on them. They either make your periods extremely light or they stop altogether which mine have.
Not everyone likes periods but I dont think its a good idea to take anything to stop them
I have just nailed you on the Apotheosic, vodka; second poem, as Mrs O had me add her and my first one ré you didn't read right either.....

I dont want them 4get...i literally allow myself two or three a year i think...

Cheers voddy ill look that up. Ive been on microgynon for like 9years!!Xx
I was put on Cerezette to stop extremely painful and heavy periods. Like I said in some people it makes them extremely light and in others it can stop them.
what do you mean allow?
Thanks DT! lol x (sorry Tinks x)
I was also put on cerezette, i became aneamic due to very heavy periods....i no longer have them now either.

I dont take breaks 4get so i dont get periods.....but now and again i take a break to allow one to come. Hate it though.

Ill ask about that voddy mines arent seriously heavy alot, just now and again, so hopefully it would stop mine altogether!!

Bit scared to fix something thats not broken right enough as this pill has served me well....xx
dont mess with your body if its not necessary. I have buggered up mine by being on pill, and now finding it very difficult to concieve
You should always take breaks. May be ok to not take one every now and then if you have a special occasion coming up but it isnt very good for you to take more than two packs in a row.
The pill you are on is the one for years but I suffer from migraines and it seemed to make them worse and I also put on weight with it. I have very few migraines with this pill and it seems to suit me.

Dr said its ok last i checked...they prescribe them fine and must see the amount i go through!!

I really do think im due a change though. If im of the pill 2/3days a period comes so im not worried.....fingers crossed for you though hun...xxxx
Well my instructions on pill pack always said not to. A period is a natural thing that shouldnt be stopped.
Question Author
I really hate them :0(

What about other methods aside from pills?

Coil, implant etc?

Dont want weight gain!!

See this being a woman ....lol xx
You may have to find some other way as I'm sure if you were meant to keep taking the pill without breaks they wouldnt ask you to.
The implant is another one which lightens periods and can stop them. My friend had it...I hated the thought of a needle lodged in my arm so wouldn't go for it lol I'm a big wuss! x
You don't have a break with Cerazette 4get..the instructions tell you to run the packs together.
I had the implant and didn't have a period. Period arrived 28 days after I had it taken out.
