Well, being honest, I lie awake next to a snorer. Can anyone recommend some decent earplugs? I bought some foam type things from Boots that you compress and then stick in your ear before they expand and they were really uncomfortable.

I listen to music on my ipod to cover the snoring but you have to get earphones that are not too big, maybe they sell ones to sleep in? They have pillows with built in speakers but that wouldn't cut the snoring out.

Craft - I can't see how that works

I couldn't listen to music - it would keep me awake
what even classical or relaxing? it's less annoying so you just drift off
Not if it is Pink Floyd, mrs overowl.
Neither do I mrs.o but she reckons he's now snore free (I wouldn't like to suggest it's because she's gone deaf)

Hubby had the snip, it's that thing near you're tonsils that hangs down lol

stopped snoring..but started making wierd noises, like a gargling sound. I
said he should ask for a refund..we did eventually solve it..seperate houses!!!!
Try whistling!
I get sent upstairs to the spare bedroom, my problem is a little different, I suffer from sleep apnoea, I stop breathing then I have an almighty snore that makes poor Carakeel hit the ceiling.

I say I suffer from it, actually I "have" sleep apnoea but poor Carakeel is the one that "suffers" with it.
You can get the blue mouldable ones from Boots. I use them when I go to the dentist. We work with hand signals.
you will have pushed the foam ones in too far... pull them out a tiny bit and you wont be able to feel them after a few mins.

most people stufff them in hard but they only need to block the canal, not right up to the drum
The wax earplugs are easier to get used tier to.
Could you try ambient sounds / hippy whale song music on an ipod?
I used to play the WorldService on earphones very very quietly so it was only just audible - made a kind of white noise effect.
An electric fan also does the same for me.
Well I sleep in a different bedroom and that's solved the problem for me.. He's only any use when he's awake so it's pretty much sorted ;o)
Me too mazie .Mr S sounds like a train going labouring up a hill :)
I recorded it once .I got locked out one night and you could hear him snoring outside the house it was that loud !
same here shaney and I really can't see the point of sleeping with someone that keeps you awake all night. LOL, mind you I don't think mine is quite that bad.
Lol..I had to throw stones up at the window ..in the end I woke the boys up and they came down and let me in ....and the dog was barking his head off ! Not a murmur from the old man ..hahaa.He could sleep and snore through WW3 .
These days I rock and roll with me aching hips and he's not in the best of health so it suits us .)
Mrs O... Boots do waxy ones called Muffles! I use them. But break them in half as quite big!
Snap shaney, sounds just like us... I love having my own room.

I'll have a look in Boots.

I recorded Mr O snoring and when I played it to a friend, she honestly thought it was a herd of snorting wildebeest I'd recorded from a nature programme
