Your AB Nickname

This has no doubt been asked before, but as I haven't been an ABer for very long, please forgive me!

 

Where did you get your nickname/monika for AB? Mine's very boring: mine and my husband's initials (smudge, you already know this and I know where yours came from because we had this conversation yesterday!). I'm useless at thinking up a nickie without it sounding obvious though, so I wondered where the inspiration came from.

Libertie, because my friends say I sometimes take them! But really its because I will never forget the first time I went to NY and saw the Statue of Liberty, thought it was amazing!!

When I was a kid (aged around 9 or 10), me and my mates used to make up codes a lot (I don't know if this is normal... I just assumed all kids do it, ne?) Anyway, one of the names for me that came out of one of our codes was 'Kinsao Ikioa'. I can't for the life of me figure out how we reached it, because it doesn't even have the same number of letters as my real name or any of my 'usual nicknames'... must have been one helluva code! Anyway, for some reason this name stuck in my mind. It has some kind of Oriental flavour to it, I think, although I don't think it's a 'real' name in any language. 'Kin' means 'gold' and 'sao' means 'pole' in Japanese, so I guess you could say it means something like 'gold pole', lol, I don't know if that's good or not...! Anyway I kind of adopted it for online use ever since I had a Japanese boyfriend. Bless him, my real name is a little difficult for him...

I was struggling for a new username & as I love gardening I started choosing things from my garden, but a lot of them were already taken.  Ended up with my favourite tree, a robinia, although little weed might have been more appropriate!
My knickname as a baby was wiggy & my brother continued to call me that until I became a real wiggy for a while during chemo.  He never said it again, I think he felt too sensitive about it but I really wouldn't have minded!!

i changed mine from mullein to oxeyedaisy as i crashed the computer and couldnot  remember my password to reregister as i am careless with things like that..i wiped all the data off and made a right mess..both my names came from flowers i grow in the garden..the ones that take over all the space..

my first user name was allo- that was my initials with my husbands. i changed that because everyone thought i was saying hello. so sasha green is a name i made up when i was 16. a guy asked me my name and i didn't want to give him my real name and sasha popped in my head. green is my fav colour! thier are alot of people out their who think my name is sasha! my hubby calls me reds for my hair, and my mum calls me bits short for bitch. she said i use to yell it back at her when i was like 2 or 3 . bits was how it would come out. ! well thank you for reading this long responce! sorry! getting caried away!
