Open pores?

Following on from the black heads question, I have a lots of open pores on my nose and, although they are always dirt free, look horrible.

Any ideas on what to try?

a friend of mine told me not too long ago that so called pore minimizing creams really do work. I'll go home and ask her and tell you what brand she uses. we both have a similar nose blackhead/open pore problem and hers has improved quite a lot recently
