Think a bit more info required ilove. Clinical pathology departments at hospitals etc are typically subdivided into specialist laboratories ; Microbiology, Histopathology, Immunology,Biochemistry, Haematology and Blood Transfusion. Recent trends are to amalgamate some of these labs, so often Blood Transfusion can be found as an adjunct to Haematology. With the changing technology platforms, it is not uncommon to find even the disciplines of chemistry and haematology merging, to form a "Blood Sciences" Lab.
All this is distinct from Forensic Pathology, which is the lab/mortuary where autopsies etc are carried out
