Right. Does anyone have a little hole at the top of the ear, just before the point at where the ear meets the top of your cheekbone?  My son has one on one ear, and someone whose hair I cut has one on each side. What is the significance of these? Is it some throw back to caveman days?  They serve no purpose at all. I said to my client I would ask the guys at AB!! Someone will know!! He and I eagerly await loads of sensible and silly replies. And no they are not piercing holes!!!

I have one hole at the top of my left ear and I would have to disagree with all the people that think it gives us powers...I mean are you serious? It's a sinus cavity...Test the puss for fairy dusty prove me wrong but I'm pretty sure it's just puss and it's just a cavity in our ear.

The holes above the ears are where your ear buds haven't formed when you were growing before you were born.Your ears are made up of little buds and the holes are buds that stayed inside and didnt form properly.My son aged 3 has them and we went to the doctor as they were weeping from birth and thats what we were told.
So don't panic...though we do call them his "alien abduction" holes!!

I was born with little holes in the upper part of each ear as well as little holes on the inside of my ear. The left outer hole gets pussy and the two inner holes bleed from time to time.
I was also born with two holes open in my neck...the branchial clefts...aka..."gills"....of which I had surgically closed when I was three years old. My Grandfather was the only other one in the family to have these and he was a fascination to the navy doctors when he recieved his physical for WWII.
I ALSO was born with hearing loss....but only recently learned that what I have is REVERSE hearing loss.....which is rare and means that I hear high frequency pitches abnormally well yet I have a hard time with mid to low pitches. "bat ears"???

I have this hole also, ive always had special powers. nothin harms me, and i am able to see a lot of things others dont, sorda like a third eye. I can see god as he works, and the future unfolding as he said. i believe i have supernatural favor. been haunted by it since birth. i was a drug addict for 5 years and im 33 now and sober, i still get carded to by cigarettes sometime. that thing some one said about healing amazingly fast an archangels is true because ive seen both. i also have these holes, one on each side of my head, ive had them since birth. my older sister has one on her right side. ive always wondered, and for whatever reason now, 23 years later, i finally look for some answers. as to you tymebomb, im also from the LA area, and completely agree with your statement, that i overstand more than understand. many people have told me as much, and many people are inexplicably drawn to me even though im a very quiet person. I am 20 years old and when I got my rook pierced today, the woman asked me what the little hole in my upper left ear was, and I said I didn't know. I've had it my whole life, though I can't say I've ever had any problems with it like the smelly discharge... I don't consider myself to have more luck or to heal faster than anyone else, I think good things come to those who work hard to be good people. I'm not superstitious or religious in any way but like most of you I have never broken a bone ever! And I think that is a terrific coincidence!!

I have wondered the answer to this question for many years... Then all of a sudden this morning i figured i would try my luck and describe the holes and see what I get... I had no idea there were so many people out there with the same thing.. I have one hole above my left ear that has puss from time to time... My cousin is the only other peopson I knew of with the same hole... He is much older and I do not see him very often but when I was young I noticed his hole but didnt know how to ask him about it because the puss embarrassed me... But it's nice to know there are so many people out there with this... I had no idea the puss meant there was an infection... I will make sure to clean it more often... I dont know if I believe a lot of the theories, but I too have never broken a bone, I dont know about healing much faster because I figured everyone healed at their own pace... But I have always thought I had a purpose on earth... And I can say I somewhat agree with tymebomb in the sense that I overstand... It get frustrating sometimes trying to explain certain thing to people... I dont claim to be super smart.. My IQ is average... But I never studied in college or high school and always made the honor roll.. I'm a fast learner and just, as tymebomb said overstand... It weird though... I have so many more questions, now that I have a better sense on both the scientific and theoritical answers...

Hi. My name is Sheena, and I also have a hole at the top of my left ear. I am glad that I found this post today, because I have always wandered why. I have had three supernatural experiences as a child. 1) As a girl scout on a camping trip, a rattlesnake reared back as if to bite me, and I felt a hand on my leg preventing the bite. 2) I have almost drowned three times. The last time, I knew that I was about to die, but something lifted me out of the water. It was in a public pool that was over crowded. I slipped under unnoticed. As I lay on the side of the pool coughing up water, the life guard came to make sure I was ok, but no one was there beside.
3) While asleep, I felt someone/something sit down on the bed beside me, so afraid to open my eyes, when I finally did, there was no one there, and my bedroom door was still closed.
As I grew older things stopped. As an adult when I was nine months pregnant with my daughter, while asleep I awoke to see an outline of what looked like two people near my bed, I jumped up, and screaming fled our bedroom. My husband awoke to run to me and see what was wrong, when we returned to the bedroom, no one was there.
I have also been completely alone, and heard a voice distinctly say my name. I like most of you have never broken a bone, even after a serious car accident in 2006. I never connected these to my hole. I have never had puss come out of, hower I do take hot showers, and the steam has caused a clear liquid to come out. I clean it daily when I take my regular shower, so I've never noticed a smell, or have never had an infection.

Hi my name online here is Donald(Donnie) and I'm relieved to see I'm not the only one. I have two small holes near my ears, they look like piercings. A lot of people ask me if I've ever pierced them, but I never have. Also, mine don't ever have puss or gross stuff come out of them lol. Literally they're just two small holes/dents lol. And I have very good hearing by the way and I'm 23.

Also-I'm not very superstituous((I am a christian-Jesus all the way =] )) though I am entertained by alternative theories. I don't believe them exactly but I find it fun to converse over it. I almost drowned when I was a kid. Literally almost died in a pool in Austin TX. And I love being near the ocean. And lakes and nature..though I have to admit I've gone swimming twice in the past 10 years and both times lasted about 10 minutes in the pool. I guess I've never liked swimming and have a slight fear of drowning.

Hi, I don't have the answer this question. I am also trying to find the answer. I was born with 2 wholes, one on each ear. the one on my left looks swollen but never hurts until now. But, yes I also can squeeze white stuff out of it and it does smell wierd. also I always get ear infections in that ear. I have never broken a bone. I do remember going to the doc for an infection and he could not believe I walked in there on my own because he said my white blood cell count was so high. I kept asking me If I was sure I was feeling ok. Sometimes my dreams tell me things. I have weird things happen to me like hearing pounding on the ceiling and in the walls. Now...I usually wouldn't be just telling anyone this but QUAZPEC you are really making me think. I would like to talk to you, but I don't know how to get a hold of you.

My daughter was born 7/21/09, and I didnt notice the 2 holes on both sides of her ears until the second day of her birth. 5/12/10 her left ear got infected, and got a abscess on it, and she had to be taken to the emergency room for them to puncture it to get all the pus out of it. She was put on antibiotics, and she is fine. Since then every day I rub both ears that has the holes with alcohol, bc I'm afraid that they other ear will get infected. All of the elder people in my family says that, she will see hanks (spirits) through out her life. Then every once in a while within the month she will wake up out of her sleeping yelling, and crying. I don't know what she is seeing bc she is only a baby still, and of course she can't tell me, but I'm the only one that can seem to calm her down after she has one of these dreams. I haven't heard yet of anyone else that has both holes on both ears. The doctors say it just sinus holes, and the elder wise people say she going to see hanks. I'm in my late 40s and also have that little hole on my right ear. YES, I do feel some sensation there even though it has caused no problems with my hearing, etc. I wonder if I could agree with the person who suggested having unusual abilities (lol). i also have the holes on both sides on my ears.i agree that we are different and have special abilites.i often think i she figues but near quite believe wat i seen. its true sometimes i see god or jesus doing their daily works in heaven and walking with people on the desceded in heavan. sometimes i close my eyes and get a vision of angels and a man in a chair. dont judge me im perfectly normal teenager but i think this is a gift from god that he has selected us choosen.
