I've just been lying here trying to work out what day it is. I lost Monday this week and was too ill to work.
Morning lcg xxx and NM xxx
lcg it's the best time of day. But I know what you mean with a 14 hour shift. I hope you can relax afterwards. :o}

It's definitely Wednesday NM. I'm sorry you were unwell, I hope you sre feeling better now. :o}

sorry to hear that, nom. i hope you perk up today :-)
hi, wbm. not looking forward to today....very unsettled psych ward and because i changed jobs last year to teach med students, i haven't worked a weekday for 18 months.....and it's ward round day. i hope i don't make to much of a prat of myself! i will be the senior nurse on with a newbie, so won't be able to do much of my overdue paperwork either. but....i really need the money - i got paid two days ago and due to essential bills, i only have £20 left! life is a real pain sometimes :-/
lcg I can sympathise with you. A daunting prospect. But you can do it. You wouldn't be there if you couldn't. :o}
I know what you mean about money too. Someone said a day or two ago that we need £1,700 a month to live reasonably. I'd be very happy with that! I get about a third of that.

£1700?! i live on the south coast and that wouldn't even cover my basic living costs! i have to do 30-40 hours overtime a month just to pay bills, rent and eat. we don't go out, have a car or hobbies because we can't afford it. my life is very boring, but at least i am doing what i want to (studying an msc and teaching as a career). i am the only one working full-time at home (my hubby and son are both at university) so things are tight at the moment. we worked out how much we had spent on university fees between the 3 of us.....and it currently stands at a whopping £32k!!!! it will be worth it.....eventually! x
It will in the end lcg. That figure was basic living. I'd be happy with £1700 a month!
hi all from a damp Norn Iron
Morning beej. Don't know what it's like here yet, haven't been out. I hope it's like yesterday, it was sunny on the canal with a lot of boat movement.
morning all. I was quoted 15000 for my teeth - methinks dentist confused with my phone number. That's more painful than toothache !
Morning tam. xxx I think he/she might be on another planet! :o}
not out yet either-see the rain blowing in below the door-wbm
toothaches a sore thing tambo
That's a good indicator beej! Can't argue with it can you! :o}
your right WBM but I had to pay £17.50 for the consultation, with nowt done....am really pist off. I'll go for another hol to have it done - cheaper, eh ?
Could be right there tam! Disgraceful isn't it!
I aint paying for ALL her training fees ! Its a chipped tooth; I have a temp cap from Boots I'll stick on.
That'll do for a while tam. I reckon she is pulling numbers out of the air!
14hr overtime sounds horrendous. I worked from 9.30 to 9pm y'day & almost dead when I got home.
Morning all .... Some not too happy CBers this mornin ....glad I got my three kids at a time when Uni was free for us poor folk... Mind I was on £14 quid a week at the time ;-) and a visit to the dentist didn't require a bank loan!
Have nice day all
It's a long day right enough. Too long I reckon.
Morning comm. We're enjoying a good whinge. :o}
