My medico forgot to get my thyroid tested along with all the other things, which, by the way are fine, so he took my pulse and said 80, and that meant my thyroid was OK, but real tests in 6 months, is he having me on, or can he really tell (as a one off) that the thyroid is OK?
I think you should have had a full blood test, the one that you have to have nothing to eat from midnight and only drink water. These tests are usually done in a morning between nine and ten . I cannot see by taking your pulse that they can tell whether your thyroid is okay. They used to do a test by feeling at your neck! however, you need to have blood tests to be accurate.
I thought he was, I am feeling very fine, in fact last test he said he would have to reduce the medicine, but I said no as I have so much energy, so guess we'll leave it at that, having said that, I sleep 8 or 9 hrs a night which at my age is pretty good I think!
