Can the high street dentist remove a Wisdom tooth? I say this because you often hear of having to attend a hospital to take it out. Do they face extra probems in doing so?
I had one out 6 months ago, a lower one. It took about 10 seconds and was no problem to get out at all. Now I'm a proper scaredy cat and cried all the way through 2 fillings, the wisdom tooth extraction was a piece of cake in comparison!
I had one out by an emergency high street dentist when one got infected (a bottom on but he took the top one out!). It was nowhere near as bad as I thought - had never had anything done to my teeth before - not even a filling (still none).
I had the other three out under general. All back in 2001. They said I was about a week away from them becoming impacted and them being harder to abstract but it was fine and recovered very quickly. The stitches are hard to leave alone though :)
The stitches are horrible. I kept on poking at them with my tongue.
I also had some lovely, bloody, bright green gauze constantly stuffed in my mouth. I was a bit of a bleeder :(
