What Does My Recurring Dream Mean?

I started having this dream often about 6 months ago.
I'm living in a house but its filthy dirty and every room is filled with junk.
I'm sharing the house with someone, sometimes a man sometimes another woman.
I'm waiting for the other person to move out as I can't start cleaning until they do.
When they move out I start to tidy up.
I don't think the dream relates to any dissatisfaction I have with my marriage.
So does anyone have any ideas what it all means?

Sounds like there is something in your life that needs addressing. Could be a job, or relationship, etc but something is stopping you from making the first step. Be it, talking to your boss about an issue, an unresolved problem with a friend. Money problems.

Oh and by the way, I'm only guessing.

I had a recurrent dream that I had dark brown hair again. I've dyed my hair blonde for last 12 years so I couldn't understand why the dream was about my going dark again. I eventually worked it out that I had been working through some issues with a counsellor that were related to when I was 36 years old. The same time I had my hair dark.

I took the bull by the horns and died my hair dark again, and the dream went away. Strange, very strange but I think only you know deep down what your dream is about, if you really needed to find out.

All the best xx

Its a dream and it means nothing. Dreams are just flashing thoughts that are confused though being asleep. Nothing more.
I prefer Ratter15's answer!!

I don't know ratter. I prefer to think that dreams are our subcontious trying to tell us something and thanks Ruth. xx
It means you have a recurring dream.

If there is anything in the subconscious meaning interpretation, then I suspect it tends to be so well disguised you could interpret it almost any way you wish.
If I were a fortune teller, I'd tell you that you feel ready for a complete change of direction in your life but something or someone from your past is holding you back. Until you resolve these issues you won't be able to move on with your life and fulfil your dreams.
Then I'd tell you a bit more mumbo-jumbo and ask for my £25 consultation fee.
Only the mumbo-jumbo bit is true. , BTW.
Aniabomb, the problem is, what you "prefer to think" is rather irrelevant I tend to rely more on facts and common sense, sorry to be harsh.

There are lots of things I would prefer, it doesn't however make it any more likely to be true unfortunately.

I thought dream interpretation was a recognised therapy tool?
"I thought dream interpretation was a recognised therapy tool? " but seriously, who is it recognised by?

Im sure there are many people that will recognise it as a therapy tool, just like all the people who think that spiritualists talk to the dead, all just Hocus Pocus I'm afraid.

lol, I dont do angry, Im just giving you my honest opinion, Im not sure how I gave you that impression, im certainly not angry, I apologise if I made you think that. xx :-))

Well I just assumed everyone thought dreams were a window to their soul. Maybe I have an overly romantic view about it. However I like to think that there's a lot more to us than we know.
Sigmund Freud etc seemed to have a lot of time for the theory that dreams are specific elements of our subconscious. It's a widely accepted school of thought although of course not provable.
I certainly think dreams are linked to your subconscious which gives you a poke here and there. I can sometimes unravel mine and sometimes can't. for me it seems that you feel someone in standing on your way of achieving a pleasing result in some area and that you feel once you are free of their influence things can improve the way you want, but not knowing you or your situation it would be quite hard I think for anyone to make a very specific comment :)
Sharigan is correct in pointing out Freud (and indeed Yung) both used Dream Analysis as part of their Psychotherapy. Its not just a case of hearing someones dream and interpreting it though, you have to discuss events leading up to the dream etc. with the person to get a feel of what was going on in the dreamer's life. I did a course on dream interpretation and its very interesting learning about the different types of dreams and how strange it is that humans have very similar dreams to one another. I am also Clairsentient and find I can channel into peoples dreams and try and work them out.
To the OP:
The house is a symbol of your mnd and inner thoughts. The upper floors your aspirations and the lower floors inc. basement hidden subconsciousness. You are feeling overloaded with emotions and can't seem to find the time to sort things out in your mind. Things aren't how you would like them but you are looking for someone to blame rather than take responsibility and take the next step forward. Your dream points you in the direction of being pro-active, do not wait for someone or something to happen , just get on with your plans as you know in your heart that once you take that first step things will work out.
It means that you would like help with the housework.
a house in dreams often means your body, if that's any help.
jno, surely that would depend on who is having the dream and what the dream was about. If we really want to believe in these weird things I'm sure we can come up with all sorts of fancy meanings, people have been doing it since time began.
Have you been watching 'The Hoarder Next Door'. On channel 4.
there's no great trick to it, Ratter, it's just our subconscious minds using metaphors. Our conscious minds do the same. If everyone says someone's "as strong as an ox", it's no great surprise that one of the "meanings" of an ox, in a dream or in life, is strength. As everyone's said, you can't just draw up a list of house=body comparisons, but it's a useful starting point for anyone considering what their own dreams might be telling them.
