can you claim invalidity payments for being diabetic, as i can hardly walk as my legs ache so much?

you will have to be seen by a doctor and possibly have to be asssesed as to what needs u have but there could be a good chance that if the doctor agrees that u are suffering and unable to work that u will be allowed disability payments maybe on the lower rate

If you are unable to work and have paid enough contributions in the relevant tax year you may be able to get Invalidity/ sickness benefit.    Disabled Living Allowance can be paid even if you are working  there are 2 types mobility and care both have different rates for severity.

also apply to county council for a blue disc ie disability disc for drivers and possible help from local council for help with bus or taxi fares.

There is a lot of help about it can be hard to get but persevere do not give up
