My sister has found a lump in her breast and has been told that she wont be seen at the breast clinic for over 11 weeks.....Please can anyone confirm if this is a normal time to wait...She is not sleeping or eating and I am worried that her health will suffer in the time she is having to wait.

Gee Sqad.....ya think?????
I'm in Scotland and my friend was seen within a week. Definitely go back to GP and get things sorted out.
This seems to be an completely unacceptable waiting time - I can only presume that your sister's GP has asked for a routine non-urgent appointment rather than an urgent two week one.
Did the GP say what he thought the lump was?
The first thing to do is perhaps for your sister to go back to her GP and explain how worried she is, to see if things can be speeded up, or whether it's possible refer her to another hospital where the waiting times are shorter.
