no, seriously, i think a day out that she will remember forever. or something that means something to you both- not necessarily jewellry. What is she passionate about? Does she like photography, for example? Buy her a starter kit. Or get her a hot air balloon ride! Or something along those lines.
For �200 you could buzz into paris for the night if you are in the south.
Unless she is a very confident lass stay clear of sexy underware. There is also this place in London its snazzy and my Missus loved it.

I think it depends on what type of person your gf is really, because although jewellery obviously wouldn't do it for some people, I would be over the moon with it, but a bracelet or necklace would be what I'd like. If she buys loads of jewellery anyway, because she just buys what she likes, then perhaps it wouldn't be as good as something completely off the wall because it would be more memorable and so different for her. I hope you find something that she loves, let us know!

A friend of mine bought his gf a second-hand diamond necklace for �120 (knocked the jeweller down �40 from the asking price) and it was very pretty. Would she be offended with second-hand jewellery though? Some people prefer old jewellery and some don't. Probably you could look at about that price for new as well though, but it might be a very small diamond or a very fine chain. If you got a different stone rather than diamond you'd get more for your money, but then again, if she likes diamonds ...
