Himself has just been sent an appointment for an angiogram. This is the first we have heard about it. Could this be a mistake or is it normal after his brain operation? Thanks

i take it they want to look at the vessel that was damaged?

Thanks, we panicked a bit as it said a bed was reserved and it all sounded more serious than we were expecting for a check-up (one pre-op appointment and then the 'procedure' appointment). Don't think the hospital explained it in the letters very well.
i would imagine that they want to look at the vessel that was damaged to check that the repair is still working etc. is it a day case bed?
Question Author
Just says 'Ambulatory care' - we're not big on hospitals and doctors so we tend to panic. We thought the follow up would just be a quick CT scan.
bednobs is right on the money.

Thank you both.
i would check with the hospital whether they expect an overnight stay or not

Good thinking. I will get him to ask when he goes for the pre-op appointment (and he can go back to to the ward he was on and get his flipping wallet).
get him to write the question down and take it with him- experience tells me you tend to forget the important things at times like these
