Am about to start taking these tablets, one twice a day, changing from Bisoprolol which I have been taking since 9th December when atrial fibrillation was diagnosed. All the specialist advised me about Flecainide was that they could affect my eyes. Has anyone had this side effect or any other I should worry about? It doesn't help that I am a born worrier. I have also got to take warfarin for the rest of my life. Thanks in advance.

Lots of people have taken flecainide and are well. and you should take the warfarin - your doctor has explained why ( puts off the danger of stroke). W does make you feel tired tho'

Not to worry......Flecainide "may" affect your eyesight, but more than likely it will not.
If it does and the problem persists, then, see your GP.
Tablets effect people different ways Molly, Listen to what your GP tells you, that's the advice you should listen to.

Thankyou Sqad and TWR (Nothing to do with Tom Walkinshaw Racing ?) for your kind comments, which I have noted. Are you in the medical line or just know about these things?Helen (Molly is the name I use on Answerbank)

I "tinker" with the body, now and again....;-)

He is a tinker indeed, and an excellent porter.

Legs it......
Mamy...Oi! "Head Porter"........".HEAD PORTER!"
Ooops.
Molly, I would never take advice from anyone except my GP, that's what she trained to do not Guess.
Exactly what Sqad said, the list that comes with them will be a yard long - born worriers take this seriously. See how you go and if any side effects occur discuss with Doctor.

It is a widely prescribed medication, so hopefully you will be fine.
TWR - sqad is NOT guessing - he has more experience of medical matters than you could shake a stick at.

Yes his advice on here is (by definition) general rather than personal - but it is still valuable and you are not helping by denigrating it.
dave....LOL......the cheque is in the post.....;-)
I did not question her reply Dave, what the last part of her answer is the anenue i
The avenue I would take, with respect Sqad,
