Why are there still so many dirty so an so's around that don't wash their hands after going to the loo? I notice it nearly every time I go out, yesterday a quite posh talking woman came into the loo's in Morrisons with two kids, told the elder girl (about 5) to go in one cubicle and took a little boy (about 3) in with her, and when they were finished she told them to wait for her while she went, when she came out she looked in the mirror fluffed up her hair and put on lipstick, then they left, no move at all to wash their hands, no doubt to go round the shop touching stuff other folk would buy, makes me sick, has she not seen adverts for soap?

To be honest, whilst I wash my own hands, I don't take any notice of whether others do, and don't care if they don't.

Can't imagine there's anything life threatening they'll pass on if you touch a product after they have.

No big deal BOO.....apart from organisms that can cause gastro-enteritis, many viral infections, but nothing that might kill you..................!!
Salmonella, campylobacter, MRSA, flu, diarrhoea and sickness, the common cold, impetigo just a few of the things bad hand hygiene can cause. in a healthy person probably no lasting damage but in the very young, old or someone who is already ill with something like cancer they could be fatal.
I used to enjoy the free peanuts they put in little trays in the posher bars. Not now, though.
Dirty bggrs . No wonder people pick up things like colds and upset tums .I'm a bit ott about hand washing .
You wash your hands at the public loo and then have to use the door handle that somebody else has used and they didn`t bother to wash theirs. Mind you, men are worse at not washing their hands IMO

I always elbow my way out of public loos :)
I never have ice or lemon in a pub anymore!
I always pull my sleeve over my hand to open the door, then use hand gel,but I am probably OCD!
A few years ago I worked for one of the big 4 supermarkets. On one of my breaks I had to wait while the male cleaner finished cleaning the ladies loo’s, I watched in horror as he finished wiping the insides of the toilet bowls and with the same cloth (not rinsed) wiped the sinks and taps!! I rarely went to the toilet after that.
carolgif I do the same, I am OCD!!
oops sorry carole forgot your e
You know when you go to a hotel and there are nice, clean mini bar glasses for you to use? They take them down to the kitchens for cleaning when they service the room, right? Wrong. They wash them in your bathroom sink and God knows what cloth they use to dry them.
Don't worry lyall, lots of people do, I don't get uptight about it - as long as they wash their hands......!
Cecil....even though it's not going to kill me I agree....to go to the loo and not wash your hands is really mucky....

We were have a drink in a pub waiting for our meal when I went to the loo. One of the waitresses used the loo and didn't wash her hands....We left without eating.

And while I'm on my high horse.....shop assistants who sneeze into their hand while serving you......I made the manager of Tesco put a box of tissues on each till after a rather snotty experience with my debit card...In fact I think he was glad when I moved away.....☺
thanks carole. I always wash my hands after going to the toilet, though sometimes it looks like I don’t as I wait till im outside the toilet before I use sanitizer or wet wipes so im not re-dirtying my hands by touching a dirty door handle!
