I lost contact with someone last year. I know where they lived, however, since then, her and her husband have got a divorce and I believe she may have moved. I have tried on the BT and 192.com website but all I reall have is her name (with BT you need to provide the area they are in too). I dont want to pay for a search as for all I know she has reverted back to her maiden name and Im not sure what that is.

Thanks

I've searched for her on there and she isnt there. I posted a message about 6 months ago with no luck.

How about trying to contact him - unless you didnt get on with him.

Or if you knew where he originated from try a member of his family who you might just be able to coerce some info out of by fair means or downright lying!!!

Last time I wrote, he replies saying they had got a divorce and in similar words said he didnt have ner address etc.

I never knew him so I dont really want to pester him about his ex wife.

Is there anywhere I can type her surname in and have a list of everyone with that surname (shot in the dark I know!)

Got me going now - Have you tried the electoral roll. The Government is obliged to publish this.

This should be available at all Town Halls or Government offices. Its different in Scotland - I dont know where they are kept anywhere else. This also gives addresses.

Could be worth a try.

Cheers Buddy!

When I goole anything to do with it, it brings up the electoral roll. But most say I have to pay for it.

Might take a trip to my local government office!

There's also the http://www.genesreunited.com website too.
The local library has copies of the electoral role.
