I am amazed how much the sizes vary, not just male v female.
What governs the size of a nose?

There are multiple sets of genes at work; governing which areas of bone are going to grow, when and for how long. The nose shape you had as an infant isn't necessarily what you end up with.
So, if the genes for 'build a nose' turn out to be very similar across many thousands of individuals, then the variation has to be due to the control genes. It's analagous to the old chesnut about there only being 8 notes but millions of combinations of how to combine them plus playing 'style' on top (as in cover versions).

It's ears that fascinate me.
Have you seen the size of some people's ears?
Gigantic, some of them.
Am I wrong, or do they keep on growing all your life so the older you are, the bigger they'll be.
(Despite my age, mine, of course remain small and perfectly formed...except my lobes are too small for clip on earrings which has always disappointed me)
