What is the fascination that people with glasses on have with babies? Can they see themselves in them? do they, in their own primative way, instinctivly know they don't belong on faces?

Mine's lethal with anyone who happens to be wearing them, on holiday the holiday camp's 7 foot mascot had huge sunglasses on- she nearly tore the poor blokes monkey head (!!) off in desperation tryin to get at them!

I think they learn very quickly that they are 'different' from usual faces - so they reach for them, and of course the wearer reacts. Good game thinks baby.

My dad wears them, and my six-month-old is having great fun trying to grab his specs. Dad just moves his head back out of the way. I'm sure my son will grow out of this - as my daughter did - and all babies do in the end.

BOO, i have an 8 month old boy and he too loves to pull glasses off people, same a necklaces, i think it is something to do with the light reflecting off them that attracts wee kiddies.

Lol~ yeah Noo, I forgot necklaces too, my 9 month old has already snapped 2 of mine :-{

And don't forget earrings BOO - when they get their little fingers in your hoops, ouch!!

Funnily enough the thing I remember most about my first school teacher is her glasses - they were those joke ones with eyes on springs.

...just kidding....

Yeah - forgot about the earings. I don't wear them, but my partner does, or did! I advised him that our son would be most interested in ripping them out of his ears at the first opportunity. It nearly happened - exit earings!
I have often wondered this myself, my 6mth old son has been doing the same since he could grasp, although he hasn't broken my glasses or my jeweller yet, he is very strong and I can well imagine it happening soon.  He loves pulling both mine and my mums glasses and ther'e constantly full of sticky fingerprints lol.  He also loves deep male voises, his head will turn to find them with such an inquisitive face, even if its the t.v. or ther'e in another room.
