Wisdom Teeth
My right wisdom tooth is OK, but with my left one half of it is still embedded in some gum, from time to time it's swell's up and although not that painful quite irratating! So doe's anyone suggest I just go to the dentist and pull the sucker out?

I mentioned to dentist, he x-rayed & was concerned about infection, which is quite common & can spread to healthy teeth resulting in their tooth loss, so wisdoms were removed.
I would definitely go to seek advice before the swelling possibly turns into an infection.
Here in the US having your wisdom teeth removed has become quite common...most dentists will recommend that we have it done (I already have) around age 18 when the teeth first begin to hit the surface of the gums and cause problems such as; crowding, pushing other teeth, pain, etc...
I would say that you should just see your dentist and ask him if he recommends the surgery for you. I know that they can be pretty painful and irritating in left unattended to....good luck
