Does anyone here who takes this drug ever suffer with extreme tiredness, lethargy and falling asleep virtually at the drop of a hat? Just wondering if this could be one of the many side effects of the drug when everything else has been ruled out. Thanks for your answers.

This about my other half, I wouldn't take them if you paid me lol. Trouble is it's during the day that the lethargy et al occurs quite alarmingly too. Also suffer leg cramps and muscle aches which I know it apparent with the tablet. Has type 2 diabetes, on insulin, diabetic kidney disease, had heart bypass many years ago. All bloods come back "normal", diabetes well controlled etc. This damned tiredness and breathlessness is a curse and sometimes it looks as though it's a medical condition in itself but they have got no answers, that's why I'm now looking at the medication. As well as Simvastatin the other meds are Amlodipine, Losartan and aspirin.
Taken that medication for about seven years and only suffered muscle aches now and then.
Now Capecitabine that I am now on is a different matter. The oncologist warned me that lethargy and tiredness was a side effect of that drug and my wife said she probably wouldn't notice that side effect on me anyway !! :-)

Started with Amlodipine and Simvastin. Swollen joints, phantom toothaches, impotency, leg cramps. GP took me off both and I am on now on Lotarsan, no statins, lots of dreams but no real side effects and no intention of taking statins. Interestingly my dentist said that Simvastin is the cheapest statin on the market and that's why so many people are put on it when they start statins.
