I burnt the underside of my forearm on the oven, last week, and had two red wheals as a consequence. It was sore but didn't cause any problems.
At the weekend, I caught my arm on the side of a cardboard box and grazed the burns. They became even more sore and began to be weepy. I have been applying Sudocrem on an absorbent dressing and it doesn't seem to be getting any better. It's still painful and a bit 'mankey'.
I have some tea tree oil and some Manuka 10+ honey. Shall I try the tea tree or the Manuka? .........or something else?
A dab of TCP and let it dry out Tilly. If it's still weeping in the morning.... Doctors! Having had Cellulitis a couple of years ago, I would recommend the Docs. Good luck xx
When I burnt my arm a few years back I went to the minor injuries clinic (advised by a nurse in the corner shop lol) They cleaned off the burn with an antiseptic wipe and dressed it telling me not to get it wet for at least 5 days.
The blister was quite big though....about the size of my palm.
clean with an antiseptic wipe..cover with a guaze dressing and keep dry...see GP if it doesn't heal or look like it is getting better..don't apply any creams etc ..important it is kept dry and clean..only a light breathable dressing..
