A social worker said I would have to be assessed as to why I couldn't do it. Is this normal?

Psyb....no matter how many carers I arranged... whatever I did to help was no good at all.....no pleasing her....she was horrid and nasty. The visits...the cooking and cleaning wore me down. Like you I felt responsible and guilty if I couldn't do everything.. ..but it came to a head when she tried to stab a carer with hidden scissors. In the end I stopped...

Like you I felt responsible and guilty if I couldn't do everything....but it came to a head when she tried to stab a carer with hidden scissors.
In the end I stopped responding so much...for my own sanity. As you know she's in a home now......I visit once a week and that sits very well with me.
There comes a time when you have to ditch the guilt and look after yourself.
