I've had them for the past two nights, waking up in a sweat, afraid to go back to sleep. Yet I don't remember them in the morning. What's going on?

You are having nightmares.
It could be a number of reasons why this is happening. I usually have nightmares when I'm unwell or something is seriously troubling me. It may be worthwhile going to the doctors to get a general health check up - just to rule this out.

I'm sure you'll be able to rule this one out quickly - if I have any cheese after 5pm or an evening meal containing additives (esp MSG), I get the same, Chinese or Indian takeaways.

This time of year alot of people are travelling abroad and have to take anti-malaria tablets, If you are taking these one of the side effects is vivid and powerfull nightmares.

Just a stab in the dark though(pun intended) lol

indeed - check out any side effects of any meds your on. and look into your eating habits, lifestyle, personal worries and bed linen too. are there any unusual noises or lights at the moment occuring while you sleep? are your feet itching through athletes' foot or other such? all can cause stuff like that.
*you're*
no, you used the right version of "your" in the first place :)
sorry, ignore what i said...

ok simsfreq, although i'm sure your right with you're first answer. Their aren't enough people being sufficiently vigilant when it come to monitoring they're writing these days. its a sad day for the english language when it's basic tenets are ignored.

hell.. back to the problem.. nightmares :) well shazzabell, i had nightmares too for a very very long time.. they might occur if you eat so much before you go to bed, or you may have psychological problems which was like this in my case & i don't say that you're a psychopath (not that anythings wrong with it :)) but you may have sth bad happenned in your life recently and i got bored of what i've written here already :)

P.S. oh & pls pls pls don't correct me :D
