After a little research I think I could have the above (bulging stomach) when I sit up!
It's developed over the past six months and I think relates to a lot of heavy lifting ,etc. in the garden!
Is it dangerous and should I go to my GP?
Any knowledgeable advice?
Cheers

\\\\Is it dangerous and should I go to my GP? \\\ No and yes. You may have made the diagnosis, but that doesn't necessarily mean that it is the correct one. It could be an abdominal hernia which is different from a Diastasis recti , more dangerous, but amenable to surgery. let the GP make the diagnosis eh!

I have the same running from my breastbone to my navel and it really is visible when I tense those muscles. The GP said there is nothing that can be done but your GP may have a different opinion, or your stomach could be very different to mine.
