calf fitting knee high boots

other than duo botts - I am not that keen on any of the designs, does anyone know of a HIgh street shop that sells wider fitting boots for calves ( I woudl hasten to add it is muscle not fat that causes my dilema)

Duo boots seems to be the way to go ... or so i thought ..... unfortunately all wide fitting calf boot providers seems to presume that your leg will have all definition of a milk bottle and the boots i ordered fitted my calves perfectly but were HUGE around my ankles!

Viva La Diva and Plus In Boots only go up to a max. calf width of 46cm .... my calves, at the widest part, are 48.5cm.

I tried Evans today. To get a boot that zipped over my calf i had to go up to a size 8 shoe .... i'm a size 5 .... and then i had the same old problem of baggy ankles (i had half convinced myself by this point that if the boots fitted my calves i would wear as many pairs of socks as it would take to get them to fit my feet ....)

It is soooooooooo depressing. I just want a pair of knee boots that fit my calves, ankles and feet - is it too much to ask?!?! I can't help having big calves! I always have done! Everyone in my family has calves like a flippin' rugby player but i don't see why i should be penalised for having muscular legs!

I'm serioualy debating biting the bullet (and the credit card) and getting a pair of made to mesure boots ...

I would recommend trying We Love Your Feet. They have just launched their 2006 collection and I love it!! I have already got myself a new pair of knee high boots and a pair of ankle boots.

I am an EEE size 8 so have had real trouble over the years so this site is a real blessing for me.

You guys should try www.plusinboots.co.uk Not the cheapest but the quality and fit is just lush. No more worrying about finding boots to fit my guitar like calfs. Perfect

They have just launched their Autumn/Winter 06 range and they have a lot of nice styles.

I have a size 9 foot and was delighted to see some of their styles go up to a size 10!

I too had the same problem then a good friend of mine pointed me in the direction of THE CALF WIDTH BOOT COMPANY LTD (www.fittedboots.com) This company makes handmade calf fitting boots in great styles to fit different calf widths, at high street prices! And not the stuffy styles you get from Duo and others. I have now bought two pairs, they are fab. I wear them to work, on nights out or even just to walk the dog they are so comfy. I hope this helps

I am doing a project in my fashion marketing degree on footwear for different sizes. One of my case studies is on shopping for shoes for wider feet and boots for bigger calves (as I have both of these things!).
