I Seem To Be Absorbing Electricity From The Atmosphere

I moved home about a month ago and the house has tiled floors throughout. About a week ago I noticed that when I touched skin (mine or my husband's) I could feel an sort of current under my fingers - I don't mean a shock, more like the sensation you would get if you ran the backs of your fingers over a speaker. It's really hard to describe but almost like a thrumming sensation? It's got me a bit concerned so does anyone understand what I mean and have any idea what is causing it? Cheers

Thanks for taking the time to answer but it doesn't feel like static & it tends to happen when I'm in bed (the mattress has a memory foam top tho) so I don't think static is the answer. Never mind, I'll keep researching.

Maybe you have a nerve issue and you are just relating it to the move and the tiles and skin.

i actually get static when I open the steel cabinets in M&S. wouldn't like that on my feet - they are bad enough without the electric current running through them. Get an electrician out -

If the sensation stops when you switch the mains off then you need to call an electrician.

Do you have underfloor electric central heating? If so you really need to get someone out right now!

Jomifil, it's only when I wake up in the morning. We are doing some work on the house and the mains electric is often off - I don't think that's the issue. Oldgeezer, I also read it might be nerve related. I do have type 2 diabetes so I'm going to see my GP for advice. Thanks all
