I don't believe NoMercy at any time said it would cure everything and to be honest if you have a chronic disabling condition then you should get your mental facilities checked as well!

Okay, the main difference between the Bible and the recent and historical studies into fasting are that the latter carries witnessed, documented and proven evidence to validate it's claims. To compare the two is just incongruous.
Retro, thank you for your inordinate interest in this thread. Please can you post some links to any recent (the emphasis on 'recent') findings to suggest that there are absolutely NO benefits to fasting? I can post 100 to suggest there are.
