UK guidelines from the Department of Health recommend that pregnant women drink no more than one or two alcoholic drinks a week. The Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists recommends no more that one unit a day (a unit is half a pint of ordinary strength beer, lager or cider, a small glass of red, white or sparkling wine, or a single measure of spirits).
What's the point in risking your baby's long term health for a few glasses of wine? Bear in mind the 'safe' figures are issued by the Department of Health - the same people who brought you the 'MMR jab is safe' and 'eating beef is fine - no risk of BSE cross-infection at all'. There is so much that is still unknown about human development - all they can say is that AT THIS MOMENT IN TIME they THINK those levels of alcohol are safe. You don't know how well YOUR placenta will filter out alcohol passing over to your baby. Don't risk it.
