for anyone suffering from this i have just had shockwave therapy and can deffo recommend it , i have suffered for 3 yrs and counting and tried all the stretching excercises, insoles in shoes etc and only now am i getting some relief , its not completely gone but its still early and its so nice not to walk with a slight limp
I agree. I was on crutches for 6 months and eventually went to a sports injury specialist for treatment with his little machine. Two visits - £80 in total - sorted!
I had a steroid injection into my foot which made me say OUCH for about a quarter of a second; but it hasn't been back, and that was nearly 10 years ago. I still wear a heel support sometimes, just in case.
I too suffered for a year - was sent by my GP to one podiatrist after another. In the end I had one injection - extremely painful - into my ankle - and, once the injection site had calmed down, no pain at all. Wonderful. But I had to persevere with all the appointments where no-one did anything except examine my foot. What a waste of NHS time and money when 1 injection at the beginning would have sufficed.
