A few weeks ago I was watching a documentary about the daily practices of monks in a monastery. And they practice Tai Chi every morning to help them with their meditate.

My question is, why would they used 'un-christian' method of practice in which Tai Chi is about 'earth energy' etc.

Tai Chi isn't necessarily "unchristian". Surely it depends on what you choose as a meditation subject while you are performing the exercises?

Although there are many religions, there is only one God - does it matter which one people follow as long as they live their lives in a spiritual manner?

Its interesting question I don't know much about Tai Chi practice but Monks have  friends who are authors, medics, actors etc all walks of life you meet in a monastery. so perhaps someone they know have asked them to try it out, what order was is ? was it the programme about Worth Abbey sussex ? I've been there a very nice place and probably Not all the monks would follow same practice. Meditation is usually early morning a follows a text of scripture or a psalm which often relate to the earth and elements, Tomorrow is the Feast Day of St Francis  who animals and all creatures earth and sky brother sun and sister moon who called them, anyway side tract but hope this is of some interest  Do you know whether this was an enclosed order ?
