Have any of you felt the need or have done so - to write a personal letter to your GP querying a "matter".

that's good too Danny and I can use that in another paragraph. Ta All. Not going to peruse anymore of this letter.

If I don't get satisfactory reply from my doctor can I take it further ie Ombudsman etc.
I would start with a complaint to the Practice Manager before doing anything as drastic as contacting the ombudsman(not sure there is one for medical matters).Secondly you could complain to the BMA.

not an email - and certainly dont read to a receptionist unles you want the local post master to know all about your internal complaints

one side of paper

say what you think is wrong and at the end state what you want to happen
