That is too long. You need stronger laxatives urgently.
I swear by pure bran (brown colour) - it is simply brilliant. Pour it on anything liquidy. I swear by it.

PS - don't know anything about bowels sleeping but they'll certainly come alive with Mr Branny - buy it
Not for two weeks. I agree with your mum. Go to the doctor.
Two weeks is not normal, if you have not seen a Dr who gave you the laxatives? You could be taking the wrong type or worse case scenario there could be a blockage. Go to GP.
If there were a blockage he would know about it by now. I have had a few in my time and the pain is excruciating. In addition to laxatives I would recommend Buscopan, available OTC. It is a muscle relaxant and has certainly helped me in the past.
You will probably need an enema - perhaps you need to go to A&E. Two weeks is very very long to be without a movement.
Yes, I think an enema will be recommended gordie.
It depends what your normal bowel habits are, your food and fluid intake. Any pain.
try upping your fluid intake. It doesn't have to be prune juice, water will help.

I'm assuming you're eating normally?
2 weeks, get to the doctor or at least talk to a pharmacist.

Sorry for the light hearted question.

Have they been snoring?

;-)

In all seriousness get checked out. Hope you get things moving soon.
Too much information for some people here.

There is a hard lump at the tip of his (at backpassage) it is now a like a stone and un less you get this stone removed then rest lies at the back of the stone

I have had to prescribe about 4-5 private enemas as they are so painful. I akin/them to having whilst I never a had a baby but sure they come next. Quick as instead of writing here - to the nearest walk-in centre. OR can you try yourself with gloves. The relief you will be feeling will be second to none. xx
I'd phone your doctors first thing in the morning and get an appointment. 2 weeks is a long time without a bowel movement. I'm surprised your not suffering from stomach cramps.
Maybe you need a decent spicy curry or two, to shake things up.

It's a change from the norm so I don't think you can dismiss it as gone to sleep. Worth getting it checked out and on the record. I know someone with regular issues of a similar nature and they take Buscopan when they can't put up with it any longer.
