Dr suspected Urinary infection possibly Kidney and gave me the above.

I definitely feel it's my kidneys will these help or should I give the surgery a buzz and say I think I need something else. I'm due to finish these tomorrow.

The pain in my mid to lower back is making me feel sick - I'm eating a light diet drinking plenty and sugars are relatively stable but not too high.

Yes, phone now sweetheart.
If...if...you have a urinary tract infection, then Nitrofutantoin is the drug of choice.

The so far so good.

You mean another antibiotic or some other pain killers?

Do what you feel you want to do, but if it was my wife, I would not contact the surgery, but concentrate on relieving the pain which i am not convinced , from what you have said, id from the kidneys....e.g Ibuprofen.
Dr Sqad - I have renal problems at the moment; does Iboprufen affect the kidneys if taken long-term?

They said finish it and see how I am over the weekend.

I want to finish them but I also would like the pain to go away, taking the nausea with it and the burning sensation. I'm taking Paracetamol and Codeine as the last ibuprofen I took came right back up again.

I'm due to go to OH's this weekend but I'm seriously thinking of staying home.

Thank you Sqad and Patsy
frugal...normal doses for a short period of time........no big deal.
However doses in excess of 2,000mgms a day......might....just might....cause a kidney problem
Thanks, Dr Sqad. Think I've got calculi. Had endoscopy of bladder, everything OK; had CT scan Mon. last, awaiting results. Seeing urologist next Wed.
Ibuprofen gives relief, but have changed to paracetamol. GP prescribed codeine phosphate, but the constipation is unbearable.
Sorry, queen of mean for hijacking your thread.
OK Fred....if Ibuprofen gives relief.........then why change?
Good point. Thanks for reassurance.
