back is killing me, at top of neck bone / vertibrae i touch the bone and i get pain, shocks into my backl, i obviously do not know but feels like trapped nerve if you can imagine that , do these type of things go away after time ?

pain feels as if travelling down my right arm sometimes. very sore when i put head back it feeels as if my head / neck muscles are compressing the part where pain is coming from, i release my head forward and it feels ok.

see a specialist ?

No....not a this stage.

It sounds like a bit of wear and tear in the bones of the neck, which is pressing on a nerve.......not an uncommon situation.

No big deal and yes, these "sort of things" often go away with time and simple treatments.

Kick off with Ibuprofen 400mgms every 4 hours if necessary and monitor
the situation.
Yes...good answer by murray ^^^ if you have been doing a lot of painting, that could well have stirred things up.

its been there a while now, hopefully it will die away soon over time, neve rhad this pain before but suffer a lot with back.

are chioprators any good , dont want waste money on them.
the best are the sports physios..and get personal recommendations if you can
I`d be more inclined to visit an osteopath than a chiropractor

i have never had sciatica but this pain in upper back / neck on the bone feels like what people describe as sciatica, its keeping me awake all night and pain pulsating down from top vertabrae to my arm.

wondering what i should do, i see doc anyway but im not one to go running to doctors .
you must see doc soon as..
Before letting anyone like a physio or chiropractor touch it, have a scan and get it checked out properly at the hospital. I speak from experience - and the resulting irreparable nerve damage isn’t funny.
